Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our logistics team at our seafood processing and cold storage facility. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely dispatch of perishable seafood products while maintaining strict compliance with cold chain standards and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the dispatch of fresh and frozen seafood products to local and international destinations.
- Assist with loading schedules and vehicle routing to maximise delivery efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and cold chain protocols.
- Work closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to meet delivery timelines.
- Monitor temperature-sensitive cargo during dispatch and maintain cold chain integrity.
- Manage goods inward and outward documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, and export documentation.
- Support and assist dispatch personnel and forklift operators in daily operations.
- Troubleshoot issues relating to transport delays,



product handling, and customer service.
- Maintain dispatch KPIs and assist with performance and compliance reporting.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement to enhance efficiency and workflow.
- Assist with daily staffing and operational requirements to support business objectives and team productivity.
- Support warehouse expense management and maintain cost-effective operations within budget guidelines.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in a dispatch or logistics management role, preferably in seafood or cold storage.
- Strong understanding of temperature-controlled logistics and perishable goods handling.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, HACCP, and export documentation.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cold storage environment.
- Proficient in dispatch management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Electric Forklift & indoor storage operations experience essential.
- LF license required.
