Job Responsibilities and Roles
- Coordinate projects, resources, schedules, and client requirements.
- Manage project documentation, procurement, reporting, and communication.
- Support safe, effective, and compliant project execution.
- Experience delivering projects within the resources sector desirable.
- Support project delivery from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate engineering activities and technical documentation.
- Assist with scheduling, progress reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in mining, oil and gas, or industrial projects highly regarded.
- Provide daily onsite supervision and leadership of SMP teams.
- Coordinate work fronts, labour, equipment, and resources.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, permits, and safety procedures.
- Monitor progress, quality, and productivity onsite.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Proven SMP leadership experience in oil and gas or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of SMP construction and maintenance activities.
- Schedule 26 certification required.
Specialised Welding – Coded Welders (Pipe and Structural)
- Perform high-quality welding to code on pressure piping and structural steel.
- Experience working in hazardous environments highly regarded.
- Stainless steel and exotic material experience viewed favourably.
- Install, repair, and maintain complex plant systems.
- Interpret P&IDs;, isometric drawings, and technical drawings.
- Flange management experience highly regarded.
- Structural and pipe fabrication and installation in hazardous facilities.
- Proficiency in GTAW, MMAW, GMAW, cutting, and repairs to industry standards.
- Full WA Electrical Licence.
- 5 years+ strong industrial / mining / major hazard facility experience.
- EEHA experience.
- Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation (desirable).
- Certificate II in Split Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (desirable).
- Confined space and working at heights (minimum requirement).
What You Will Bring
- Relevant trade qualification or supervisory certification (where applicable).
- Schedule 26 certification (for Supervisors/Leads).
- White Card.
- MSIC and DG Cards (desirable).
- Confined Space and Working at Heights certification (within 2 years).
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (C, CA, HR).
- Full Australian working rights.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in oil and gas, marine, and/or mining environments.
- Strong safety focus, particularly in high-risk environments.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to quality workmanship.
- Ability to complete medical assessments and pass drug and alcohol testing initially and ongoing.
