Role Overview

Strive, Develop and Succeed. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in Country Victoria, 25 minutes East of Bendigo. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role is a multi‑faceted role leading the quarry and overseeing the daily management of the operation, including production, continuous improvement, health & safety, logistics and full P&L; responsibility.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team, driving them to achieve goals.
- Make business decisions that impact overall performance, including targets, KPIs, financial planning, budgeting and cost management.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations, including quarry development, stormwater and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Continue rehabilitation initiatives and maintain the company’s reputation as a responsible and sustainable partner.
- Maintain a strong safety mindset, manage high‑risk activities and reduce risk exposure.

Qualifications

- Experienced quarry manager or supervisor with relevant industry qualifications.
- Leadership experience and ability to support continuous improvement across the supply chain.




- Track record of delivering transformational change within a complex business environment.
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to risk management and Zero Harm.
- Strong team player who can multi‑task and make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
- Positive presence in building effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- High resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
