About the Business and the Role

Materials Consultants is a leading WA‑owned, independent construction materials testing company providing sampling and testing services to the civil engineering, infrastructure and mining sectors for over 40 years. We deliver NATA‑accredited testing to MRWA and Australian Standards for soil, rock, aggregate and concrete across the Perth metropolitan area and throughout regional Western Australia.

We are seeking motivated Lab and Field Assistants to join our Bassendean base laboratory team, with opportunities for DIDO/FIFO project work across WA. Immediate starts are available for suitable candidates.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

- Conduct field sampling and testing to MRWA Test Methods and Australian Standards
- Perform laboratory testing under supervision to relevant industry standards
- Follow instructions accurately and maintain compliance with client specifications
- Work effectively both independently and within a team
- Maintain reliability, punctuality and honesty in all work activities
- Participate in weekend work,



overtime and remote project rotations when required

Skills and Experience (Entry Level)

- C‑Class Driver’s Licence
- Australian Resident
- Sound mathematics and basic computing skills
- Capable of sustained physical work in field and laboratory environments
- Willing and available for FIFO/DIDO work when required
- No prior laboratory experience required — full training provided
