About the role
This is a hands‑on advisory and case management role supporting local managers, HRBPs and teams within P&C; with employee relations matters across the organisation. A regular day will see you:
- Provide timely, accurate advice on employment legislation, EBAs and policy.
- Manage ER cases end‑to‑end, including investigations and grievance resolution.
- Support misconduct and disciplinary processes, including coaching managers.
- Work with stakeholders across P&C; to resolve issues early (or when they’re already well underway).
- Contribute to ER guidance, toolkits and process improvements.
- Support EBA implementation and respond to industrial and union‑related queries.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
- Experience in an HR or ER advisory role, or at the very least a keen interest.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation and industrial instruments.
- Strong judgement and ability to manage sensitive matters.
- Clear, confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation capability.
Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day. Our people also receive a variety of rewarding benefits, including:
