Synopsis: The National Gallery has a major focus on sharing the national collection. The Conservation Loans and Exhibition Coordinator plays a key role within the conservation department to meet this exciting initiative. This position administers and assists with project managing the care of the collection within the galleries extensive and busy exhibition and loans program. This position reports directly to the Head of Conservation; however, they are required to liaise across all stakeholders both within the gallery but also external lenders/borrowers. This role requires excellent understanding of the care, transport and risk management of an art collection and an ability to administer and manage the loan documentation process. A strong knowledge of art, gallery practices and the care and management of the collection is a requirement of the position.
