About You

- Knowledge of recovery principles and strength-based approach in working with consumers who have mental health issues.
- Ability to share lived experience of recovery to assist consumers and staff within the role.
- Thoughtful and ethical decision making to act within operational scope, and professional boundaries.
- Ability to work within timeframes and deliver on work commitments.
- An ability to advocate for the consumer perspective to identify service improvement.
- People who hold or are working towards a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent are encouraged to apply.

Mandatory Requirements

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- A personal lived-living experience of Mental Health challenges, recovery, and an ability to advocate for and support people experiencing mental health issues.
