Our client is delivering highend ISR capabilities to the ADF. We have a position available for an Electronics Technician to be based in Newcastle, NSW. This is a key position on the team to support a diverse number of technologies in Defence, Government and Commercial areas.

The client is seeking candidates with experience in modern digital communications systems including one or more of the following: from RADAR, SONAR, Combat Systems to Battlespace Land Communication domains. This role requires candidates with valuable interpersonal communications and stakeholder management skills as you will be traveling to client sites, this will require maturity and a can do attitude.

The Role

- Act as an SME in your trade stream
- Act as a POC for internal and external stakeholders
- Identification, development, evaluation and recommendation of installation, maintenance and repair of RF equipment
- Travel to client sites across Australia
- Test and repair to specified requirements
- Undertake reliability assessments




- Assist in learning and development as well as mentor for internal and external persons
- Provide subject matter expert advice

Experience Required

- CERT III/IV in Electronics, or Electrical
- Experience in training and development is desirable
- Experience in maintenance and repair of RF technology
- Demonstrated ability to identify, resolve and manage security issues; experience in defence digital in‑service systems
- Must hold a current NV1 security clearance
