Job Description

We're looking for Field Maintenance Technicians to support our East Coast Metals Mining Services team.

Location & Working Conditions

- FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, or Townsville
- Flexible rosters: 15/13 or 8/6
- Supporting operations across the Mount Isa region

Role Overview

In this role, you'll provide field-based maintenance and breakdown support across mobile and fixed plant equipment, playing a critical part in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical breakdowns on mobile and fixed plant
- Performing scheduled servicing, repairs, and maintenance
- Supporting site teams with equipment reliability and performance
- Identifying risks and taking action to ensure safe operations
- Contributing to maintenance planning and continuous improvement
- Providing on-site support and client engagement where needed
- Promoting and following strong safety practices and compliance standards

Candidate Profile

- Ability to diagnose and repair heavy vehicle or plant equipment faults
- Strong commitment to safety, risk awareness, and compliance
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on quality and service delivery
- Valid driver's license





Desirable Skills

- Experience with Volvo trucks or mining equipment
- Exposure to auto electrical systems
- Knowledge of explosives‑related compliance (AEC, ADG, MPU, AS2187)
- HR license or similar
- Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
