Position: Aged Care Chaplain (Lay or Ordained)

Join Lutheran Services as an Aged Care Chaplain and provide spiritual, emotional, and pastoral care to residents, families, and staff in our aged care communities. This role offers the opportunity to serve people of any faith—or none—in an inclusive and welcoming way, making a profound difference in the lives of older Australians.

About You

You’re compassionate, empathetic, and committed to supporting people in their spiritual journey. Ideally, you have:

- Pastoral Care training and experience
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Police Check, NDIS clearance, and vaccinations as required
- Lutheran Church of Australia Professional Standards Training (or willingness to complete)
- (Desired: Clinical Pastoral Education or similar experience)

About The Role

This role is critical to providing spiritual and emotional support across our aged care sites. You’ll be responsible for:

- Providing pastoral care and spiritual support to residents, families, and staff
- Coordinating and leading worship services and other spiritual activities
- Supporting residents in their faith traditions and engaging external clergy




- Building strong relationships within the site community and local congregations
- Maintaining pastoral care records and complying with aged care standards and Lutheran Services guidelines
