Key Responsibilities

Role Overview
Operating within the Education Pathways, the Project Manager, Equity & Inclusion will be responsible for the planning, implementation, management and outcomes of the Equity Access Program for mature age learners from under‑represented backgrounds. This includes budgetary responsibilities, staff supervision, and development and implementation of activities that support engagement, pathway participation, transition and project outcomes within budget and timelines. The position works collaboratively with faculties, university stakeholders and external providers and operates within ACU’s broader equity and widening participation agenda. This role identifies and develops robust sustainable partnerships across sectors with relevant community organisations, education providers, internal stakeholders and other partners to facilitate development, pilot delivery and future growth of a supported access pathway for mature age learners aged 21 years plus from under‑represented cohorts, including low socioeconomic status (LSES), regional and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Working Conditions
- Full‑time, fixed‑term 12‑month opportunity with some hybrid flexibility, based primarily in Melbourne with frequent weekly travel to the Ballarat campus.
- Requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) (ACT only).
- Requires Australian work rights.
Benefits
- Total remuneration valued to $138,111 – $154,409 total rem (pro‑rata) pa, including salary component $116,706 – $130,478 (pro‑rata) pa (HEW 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed‑term staff.
- Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks’ salary pro‑rata payable, dependent on commencement date.
