About Our Client

Our client is an established Western Australian civil contractor delivering road construction, earthworks, drainage and regional infrastructure projects across metropolitan and regional WA.

With a strong pipeline of ongoing work throughout the South-West, they are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking a capable and hands‑on Civil Supervisor to manage civil crews, plant and subcontractors across regional projects throughout South-West WA, including work around the Albany region.

The position will suit someone with strong experience across road construction, bulk and detailed earthworks, drainage, pavements and Main Roads WA projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating daily site activities, keeping projects moving safely and efficiently, and ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, quality requirements and the project program.

This is a permanent DIDO position offering flexibility between a 2:1 or 10:4 roster.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise civil construction crews, plant operators and subcontractors
- Coordinate daily work fronts, labour, plant, materials and site resources
- Oversee road construction, widening, earthworks, drainage and pavement works
- Conduct daily pre‑start meetings,



toolbox talks and safety inspections
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications
- Interpret construction drawings, plans and project documentation
- Monitor productivity, quality, environmental controls and project progress
- Liaise with clients, project management, subcontractors and suppliers
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, cost coding and site documentation
- Identify delays, hazards and operational issues before they impact the program
- Coordinate plant availability, maintenance requirements and mobilisation
- Maintain a practical and hands‑on presence across site operations

Essential Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience as a Civil Supervisor or experienced Civil Leading Hand
- Strong roadworks, earthworks, drainage and pavement construction experience
- Experience supervising plant operators, labourers and subcontractors
- Previous exposure to Main Roads WA or similar civil infrastructure projects
- Ability to plan and coordinate daily site operations independently
- Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- Confident communicating with clients, crews and project stakeholders
- Robust reporting, administration and organisational skills
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Construction White Card
- Willingness to work regionally on a DIDO roster
- Hands‑on plant operating knowledge, particularly across graders, excavators, loaders, rollers and water carts, will be highly regarded.
