Full Time - Fixed Term Medical Receptionist

Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, you will work across our Ballarat sites (SJOG Hospital & Wendouree) and deliver the highest standards of service to patients, referrers and the community. Reporting to the Clerical Supervisor, your responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

- Representing Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice by meeting and greeting patients at the front desk.
- Answering the telephone and responding to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner.
- Making patient bookings while maximising appointment slots.
- Informing patients of relevant preparation, costing estimates, and requirements to present relevant concession cards.
- Actioning patient referrals as part of a multi‑disciplinary team comprising fellow Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

About You





- Previous medical receptionist experience desirable but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to show patients care, compassion and empathy.
- Excellent time‑management skills to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into the RIS system and EFTPOS and cash handling skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
