PRM are offering an HSE Advisor position which can be either RESIDENTIAL (Karratha, WA) or FIFI from Perth, day shift rosters based on a 12/9 however some ad‑hoc rotations may be required. Competitive hourly rate on 12‑hour shifts.

PRM is currently looking for a hands‑on HSE Advisor who enjoys being on site, building proactive safety cultures, relationships and making a real difference. This is predominantly a site‑based role with variety, autonomy, and working at different locations in some of the most beautiful Pilbara country backdrops you will likely encounter in a HSE role. The operational team that you support will be executing civil type activities and rail track maintenance activities.
You will be joining an experienced HSE team within our Karratha based office. You will play an integral role in partnering with our leaders, management team and client partners, to help improve the safety culture, wellbeing and effectiveness of the business and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting partner to the project supervisors to develop a step change proactive safety culture
- Auditing safety,
environment and quality compliance on site
- Conducting client and PRM based critical control field verifications
- Attend daily pre‑start meetings and provide HSE support to the supervisor
- Monitoring and auditing the HSE management system
- Investigate incidents, near misses and provide detailed reports
- Coaching and mentoring employees and contract partners
- Supporting document control processes relating to the HSE Management System
- Preparation of HSE presentation material
- Conduct inductions
- Building relationships with team members and maintaining strong safety standards
- Support the training department as required
Skills and Experience
Required
- Previous experience in a similar HSE role
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
- Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence
- Ability to pass Cat 3 Rail medical (along with drug and alcohol screening)
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
- Experience in training & completing VOC for heavy machinery
- Heavy Machinery Licences (e.g. Excavator, Loader, Forklift)
- Rail experience
- Experience around Surface Mobile Equipment (SME)
