About the role

In this role, you will support the Senior Change Lead in delivering readiness and engagement activities. This will include assessing change impacts, developing and executing fit‑for‑purpose change strategies, preparing stakeholders for the transition, and supporting effective engagement and communication across impacted business areas.

Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed change impact assessments to understand how the program will affect stakeholders, business areas, processes and ways of working.
- Develop and deliver change management plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance.
- Undertake change readiness and adoption assessments to ensure impacted teams are prepared, supported and equipped for the transition.
- Apply Sydney Water’s Change Management Framework to develop practical change deliverables, including stakeholder assessments, change impact assessments, sponsor roadmaps, risk assessments, readiness assessments and resistance management plans.
- Develop and support stakeholder engagement, communication and readiness activities across impacted business areas.
- Act as an early warning mechanism for change‑related risks and resistance, providing timely updates and recommendations to the Change Lead to support successful delivery and adoption.
- Prepare change materials such as briefing packs, FAQs, leader talking points, engagement content and readiness updates.




- Work closely with project teams, business subject matter experts, sponsors and operational leaders to support successful adoption.
- Contribute to post‑go‑live support, adoption tracking and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Change Management or business‑related discipline.
- Background in the utilities sector highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting change data, including stakeholder assessments, impact analysis, readiness and adoption assessments, and designing change plans.
- Advanced capabilities with Excel, PowerPoint and other change‑related software.
- Basic–Intermediate project management skills.
- Good time‑management and prioritisation skills.
- Strong facilitation and problem‑solving skills.
- Sound business acumen.
- Excellent communication – verbal, written and listening skills.
- Valuable presentation skills.
- Understanding of change resistance fundamentals and how to manage it.
- Confidence starting discussions and escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to influence and manage difficult stakeholders.
- Balance of IQ and EQ – confident but humble, respectful, empathic.
- Self‑awareness of impact on others.
- Collaborative,



engaging and communicative.
- Ability to work autonomously as required.
