Job Summary
Sorter | Lifeline Employment Term: Permanent Full Time Location: Bundaberg Remuneration: $27.83 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay). Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and therefore may result in the role closing early if the right applicant is found.
Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize a large volume of donated goods, and discard unsaleable items.
- Pick and process orders.
- Maintain work stations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner, including moving stock and rubbish to allocated areas.
- Ensure all paperwork relative to your role is recorded accurately and on a daily basis.
- Work harmoniously with volunteers and other employees to promote a positive team workplace.
Qualifications
- Availability Monday – Friday.
- Passion for the Lifeline brand and ability to articulate its purpose.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team and organisational goals.
- Pride in your work, efficient in meeting deadlines and achieving results.
- Ownership of work outcomes for self and team, and where appropriate assists others with on‑the‑job training.
- Ability to comply with all safe work practices for procedures and equipment relating to this position.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, stand, walk for long periods, with no restriction,
and willingness to work in a warehouse environment exposed to cold and hot temperatures.
