The Environmental Division in Stafford are looking for a new staff member for a SampleReceipt Officer role to join a well-established team. This role is primarily focused on incoming and outgoing goods to support the success and efficiency of our commercial laboratory.

This is a rapid‑paced and varied role that will see you unpacking and sorting with accuracy.

- Receive clients’ deliveries and confirm samples meet the testing requirements.
- Process incoming sample deliveries into the laboratory including the sorting and labelling of samples.
- Read and understand client documentation.
- Organise and follow up of freight pick‑ups for internal and interstate samples.
- Liaising with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissions.
- Maintaining filing systems and documentation.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Maintaining an excellent standard of occupational health and safety.

- An understanding of laboratory safety and chemical hazards.

Additional skills and interests that are advantageous and desirable

- A demonstrated interest in areas such as computer building, circuitry, automation, Excel macros, scripting, or 3D printing.
- Coding or programming capability (e.g. VBA, Python, R, SQL or similar).
- Exposure to or interest in robotics, AI, process automation or digital optimisation.

Eligibility
