About the Role
St Patrick’s Outside School Hours Care, located on the grounds of St Patrick’s Primary School in Gympie, is seeking a dedicated, diploma-qualified educator to join our friendly team. As a valued team member reporting to the Service Coordinator, you’ll help shape an enjoyable and meaningful OSHC experience. You'll design and deliver fun, engaging and interactive programs for school-aged children, bringing your own ideas to enhance activities and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Our service cares for up to 30 children before school, after school and during vacation periods. We operate from a dedicated room and pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming community and supportive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Providing nurturing care for children
- Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment
- Creating fun recreational and educational experiences that are inclusive for all
- Maintaining positive working relationships with all team members
- Working collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families

Job Requirements
- Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA equivalent
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
- Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
- Completed Child Safety Training certificate
