A well-established Managed Service Provider based in Sydney, known for delivering high-quality, enterprise-grade IT and security solutions are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to join their team and to work directly on the largest enterprise account. This is a highly visible role, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders and management, working alongside a robust, experienced engineering team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position. You'll be the engineer actually configuring, migrating, and implementing changes across a large-scale network and security environment. You'll take ownership of projects end-to-end, working autonomously while collaborating closely with senior engineers on more complex initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hands-on configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of firewall and network security infrastructure
- Leading and executing network and firewall migrations
- Producing high-quality technical documentation, change records, and configuration standards
- Managing change implementation through formal change control processes
- Working directly with a large enterprise client, providing a high level of technical ownership and accountability
- Collaborating with a senior engineering team on escalations and complex project work
About You
- Strong, demonstrable experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) - this is essential
- Proven background in enterprise network security engineering, ideally within an MSP or large corporate environment
- Solid experience delivering firewall and network migrations in live production environments
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and management
If you're a Fortinet-strong network security engineer who wants real hands-on ownership of enterprise-scale projects, we'd love to hear from you.
