Yaralla Place is a community located in the heart of Maryborough’s well‑preserved colonial architecture, just a short drive from Queensland’s pristine beaches and Hervey Bay. Our 96‑bed aged care home is divided into smaller households that mirror the look and rhythm of a home, with vast communal areas where residents can enjoy homestyle lounge, dining and kitchen spaces, and a private backyard for gardens and veggie patches.

Role

Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of the aged care home, such as catering, cleaning and laundry services. You will build strong relationships with residents, families and care staff, contributing to the optimisation of resident choice and creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values and support for residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities

- Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
- Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
- Distribution of meals to residents and dining room services
- All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
- Completing required documentation and reporting
- Ensuring hand‑washing supplies are available and replenished




- Contributing to an effective laundry service, including item checking and labelling

Qualifications

- Currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance, or willing to obtain – MANDATORY
- Valid working rights in Australia – MANDATORY
- Hospitality or customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and empathy
- An understanding of resident rights and aged care accreditation standards and outcomes (highly regarded but not essential)
