About the role
We are seeking two ED Registrars in Women’s Health working in the Emergency Department on a 6‑month full‑time rotation. The position will cover the periods Feb 2027‑Aug 2027 and Aug 2027‑Feb 2028 and is part of an Accredited Extended Skills post for FRACGP training within the AGPT (Adult General Practice Training) program.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to women presenting with obstetric and gynaecological conditions in the Women’s Health Emergency Department.
- Manage early‑pregnancy care and provide early‑pregnancy ultrasound, with the option to complete a further qualification in clinical performed (point‑of‑care) early‑pregnancy ultrasound.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in the provision of Emergency or Women’s Health care.
- Highly developed and up‑to‑date clinical and theoretical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with people at all levels and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Additional Requirements
- Evidence of a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
