The Opportunity

At Shine Lawyers, we pride ourselves on working tirelessly to pave the way in securing justice for those in our community. As a full-time, permanent Solicitor within our Bundaberg Personal Injury team, you'll gain hands on experience while helping clients navigate some of the most challenging periods of their lives and seek justice when they have been wronged.

We are looking for a solicitor who is passionate about building a career in the personal injury space. You will be motivated to develop your expertise, committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients, and bring the empathy and professionalism required to support vulnerable people through challenging circumstances. Working closely with an experienced Legal Practice Manager, you will receive ongoing mentoring and support as you continue to develop your practice.

With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll be a true champion of our clients by:

- Providing clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation
- Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity
- Provide legal advice to each client's particular matter to suit their level of understanding
- Develop and maintain strong qualified working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client's expectations
- Draft legal documentation with a high degree of attention to detail
- Manage and run afile load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness

What you’ll bring

- Have completed your law degree recently
- Current practising certificate, or timeline of when you're eligible to receive one




- Ideally have some pre-admission experience in personal injury (e.g. workers' compensation and/or transport accident cases, or similar) however, is not essential for success
- Have a passion for social justice and a thirst for knowledge in the plaintiff law space.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Be dedicated to delivering exceptional client service, with an emphasis on helping people when they need it most.
- Be able to effectively manage multiple competing deadlines, within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in Shine’s areas of practice.
- Bring diversity of experience, and evidence of extra-curricular activities aligned with Shine’s work, such as volunteering or community work.
- Be an active member of relevant association/s will be favourably considered, as will paid and non-paid work experience in the legal field.
