Fixify Services we are locally owned and operated in Karratha. We especially work on forklifts, high/low vehicles, and airports' GSE. We service, repair forklifts and vehicles, and now hire forklifts.
Candidates will be required to:
Test and repair diesel, petrol and gas engines and the mechanical parts of machines and plants, along with transmissions, suspensions, steering and brakes and ground support equipment of the airport.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts.
Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed.
Select required tools and equipment to repair and replace defective mechanical components as per the service manual.
Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune‑up for machines, mechanical components and hydraulic parts.
Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers and preparing diagrams in line with the service manual to diagnose and repair mechanical components.
Check, repair and replace hydraulic parts of machines and plants.
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant trade certificate or at least 3 years full-time relevant employment experience as a mechanical fitter.
- Experience with diagnosing, testing and repairing various types of mechanical components such as hydraulic parts, mechanical components and forklifts.
- Experience and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components and tools.
- Interpreting diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Understanding data and analysis to diagnose faults and perform testing.
- Understanding various types of mechanical and electrical components and sound knowledge of interpreting service manuals.
- Valuable communication and time management.
- Good team collaboration and customer service skills.
- Selecting tools and equipment, and keeping a safe and maintained workshop.
