Position Overview

This is a full‑time, ongoing contract of 80 hours per fortnight, inclusive of ADO accrual. Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region and is seeking a suitably qualified and highly motivated person to join the Health Information Services (HIS) Team as a Health Information Manager (HIM).

Responsibilities

- Conduct clinical coding using ICD‑10‑AM and Australian Coding Standards.
- Utilise the fully interfaced 3M Codefinder software and other clinical information systems.
- Participate in the comprehensive auditing program.
- Assist with the operational management of HIS, including staff management, coordination and implementation of new and updated procedures for patient information management.




- Support the implementation of the new regional Patient Administration System (PAS) as part of an exciting project.
