To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Quaker Oats team.
This role consists of analysing oat production samples against product specifications, releasing compliant product to market and supporting the quality team.
Details
- Location: Forrestfield (WA)
- On the job training for first 2-4 weeks
- Training: Day Shift (Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm)
- Rotating roster after training completed: Week 1: 2pm - 10pm / Week 2: 10pm – 6am
- Monday to Friday
- Position: Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities
- Collect samples to perform sensory evaluation, compliance testing and sample analysis
- Act out of specification results for any non‑complying product as per procedure
- Check all calibrations and maintenance associated with analytical equipment – in‑line, laboratory, and production areas in accordance with Quality Dept requirements
- Perform Quality audits and Safety inspections to ensure adherence to FSSC and AIBI standards
- Actively engage with internal stakeholders to perform troubleshooting exercises to prevent any non‑compliance. Manage laboratory waste and systems
- Comply with all PepsiCo Policies to ensure the highest quality of food is produced
Qualifications
- Qualifications in Food Science and technology and/or Certificate in Laboratory Techniques is desired but not essential
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or laboratory environment (particularly in the grain industry) is desirable but not essential
- Ability to communicate, with solid attention to detail and excellent time‑management skills
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
