We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Student Support Officer to build strong connections between students, families, the school, and the wider community. In this rewarding role, you will promote student engagement, wellbeing, and attendance by providing practical support and fostering positive relationships that contribute to successful educational outcomes.

About The Role
- Liaise and provide support to students and families at the school/college and liaise with the wider community.
- Promote the benefits of education to improve outcomes for students and families.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with students, families, community members, and key stakeholders.
- Support student wellbeing, engagement, and regular school attendance.
- Liaise with families, including conducting home visits where appropriate.
- Identify and respond to educational, social, emotional, and behavioural concerns.
- Develop and implement strategies to support student success and wellbeing.
- Monitor student data to identify trends and coordinate appropriate interventions.
- Act as a link between the school, families, and the community to promote open communication.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Undertake other duties as directed to support the school's student wellbeing program.
