ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to lead Bass Coast Shire Council's Communications team.
As Coordinator Communications, you will lead the delivery of strategic internal and external communications, provide trusted advice to senior leaders, Councillors and the CEO, and help tell the stories that showcase Council's projects, services and impact.
You will oversee digital channels, drive engagement initiatives, strengthen our brand and lead a talented team to deliver high-quality communication outcomes for our community.
A BIT ABOUT YOU
You are a strategic communications leader with exceptional relationship-building skills and a talent for translating complex information into clear, engaging and meaningful communications.
You will bring:
- Qualifications in communications, media, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related discipline.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience across digital communications, content creation, social media and brand management.
- An understanding of local government or other complex stakeholder environments will be highly regarded.
