Pool Operations Supervisor (Sydney Olympic Park Authority)

Full‑time position based at Sydney Olympic Park. Salary: $77,136 pa + super + weekend shift penalty rates.

Responsibilities

- Lead a team of lifeguards to ensure safe and efficient operation of aquatic facilities.
- Develop and enforce operational procedures, schedules and resource allocation.
- Monitor the safe use of facilities, promptly identify and mitigate risks.
- Maintain compliance with the Centre’s Emergency Management Plan.
- Foster career development and performance management of the team.

Qualifications

- Effective planning and coordination skills for managing events across various aquatic disciplines.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities for operational incidents.
- Excellent risk and safety management skills.
- Ability to supervise, develop staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using technology to maximise operational efficiencies.

Essential Requirements

- Aquatic Technical Operator certificate (SISSS00131) or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Current Pool Lifeguard qualifications recognised in NSW (SISSS00133).
- First Aid (HLTAID 011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC). The role requires a check under the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012.
- Availability to work a shift roster, including weekend work.
