The Opportunity

Sante Recruitment is partnering with one of the largest regional health services between Sydney and Melbourne to appoint a Consultant Paediatrician.

This is a full-time, substantive opportunity within a well-established and expanding paediatric service , delivering care across a large and diverse regional population.

You will work within a structured, consultant-led model , supported by a strong multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive paediatric care across inpatient, newborn, and outpatient settings.

This role is ideal for Paediatricians seeking clinical breadth, service stability, and meaningful impact within a major regional referral centre.

The Health Service

This organisation is the principal referral service for a cross-border population of approximately 250,000 , delivering a broad range of secondary and tertiary-level services.

Paediatric Services Include:

- General inpatient paediatrics
- Special Care Nursery support
- Integrated newborn care with maternity services
- Paediatric Emergency Department presentations
- Regional referral and outreach services
- Close collaboration with ICU, Anaesthetics, and Obstetrics





The service is undergoing significant redevelopment , including expansion of Emergency and short-stay facilities—enhancing overall paediatric and acute care capability.

Requirements

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP – Paediatrics)
- Eligible for, or holding, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Specialist Registration
- International Medical Graduates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable
