Opportunity

The Workshop Technician is responsible for performing a broad range of technical tasks, including advanced diagnostics, EV repairs, and case management. This role supports workshop efficiency, ensures high-quality servicing of Genesis vehicles, and provides mentorship to junior technicians. The Technician plays a fundamental role in enhancing customer experience and ensuring the delivery of Genesis' premium service standards.

Due to our growth this is a newly created position based out of our newly built workshop in Homebush, Sydney. If you are a qualified mechanic, technician or diagnostic technician looking to progress your career with a luxury brand, this is the role for you!

This opportunity can be offered as a fixed-term contract, and we welcome applications from visa holders.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with routine servicing and basic maintenance tasks on Genesis vehicles.
- Conduct detailed vehicle diagnostics, including electrical, mechanical, and software-based troubleshooting, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EV), including high-voltage systems.
- Assist with the coordination of Genesis-To-You (GTY) vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs for servicing.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding vehicle status and minor service updates.
- Communicate technical issues effectively to team members, ensuring a clear understanding of required repairs and solutions.
- Assist with organising parts and tools inventory, ensuring required components and supplies are available and replenished as needed.




- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for vehicle diagnostics and case handling.
- Prepare and submit service reports, ensuring accuracy in work orders.

About you

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Additional certifications in EV or hybrid vehicle repair (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive workshop environment.
- Robust background in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.
- Experience working with EVs and hybrid systems is highly regarded.
