$96.26 per hour (includes base rate and casual loading)

About The Role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Plumbing students across multiple campuses. Share your skills and passion for your industry, help students build the skills, qualifications, and employability to support their career goals.

As a TAFE NSW Teacher, your role is to guide and enhance the learning process. You will be passionate and motivated to share your extensive industry experience, and you will have proven experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment.

About You

- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship and a Certificate III in Plumbing Trade (or equivalent) meeting the requirements for recognition as a tradesperson in Plumbing, Draining, Gas fitting.
- Completion of the Certificate IV in Plumbing Operations (or equivalent) meeting the requirements for recognition as a Licensed Plumbing, Draining, Gas fitting contractor or qualified supervisor.
- Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.

Highly Desirable (but not essential):

- Other trades or advanced trades qualifications (roof plumbing / fire protection), occupational licences or specialist trade skills.

This is a child-related position. Successful candidates must hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencing. TAFE NSW will also conduct an Australian National Criminal Record Check on the preferred applicant as part of the pre‑employment process.

To be eligible for a position at TAFE NSW, you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport.

A suitability list, valid for 36 months, may be created for this position and used to fill future vacancies.
