As a Community Compliance Officer, you'll play a critical role that supports the delivery of Baw Baw Shire’s Community Compliance programs to help protect municipal amenity and encourage a safe and harmonious environment for the community and visitors.

About the Role
Baw Baw Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who wants to join the Community Compliance team. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out all duties associated with animal management, and the protection of the municipal amenity in line with the Shire’s Local Laws and relevant State Government Acts and Regulations.
About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Certificate IV in Statutory Compliance (Government) or Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation
- Demonstrated knowledge of local government regulatory and statutory requirements, investigation, resolution and enforcement processes
- Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations, gather evidence, prepare briefs of evidence and represent an organisation at court proceedings
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions
- Demonstrated experience dealing with people and a proven ability to remain calm and objective in stressful situations
