Located in the vibrant heart of Darlinghurst, we are positioned just minutes from Kings Cross station, with direct, high-frequency bus connections from the east, and seamless links from Gadigal and Museum stations right to our doorstep.
We are looking for someone to join us on a 6‑month contract (with a possible extension) as a Receptionist in our USpace Facility.
This is a fast‑paced position where you will provide administrative support and assistance to clinical teams, patients and their families. To be successful in the role, you will be required to apply your sense of initiative, problem solving ability and professionalism.
About the role
Deliver exceptional front‑of‑house service by warmly welcoming patients and ensuring a professional, positive experience at every interaction. Coordinate appointments, respond to patient enquiries, and manage incoming phone calls and email communications efficiently. Maintain accurate patient records while upholding strict confidentiality and ensuring compliance with privacy standards. Process billing, payments, and health fund claims accurately, while managing referrals, correspondence, and medical documentation. Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinicians,
contributing to the smooth and efficient day‑to‑day operation of the practice.
About you
- Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
- Experience with Genie or other medical practice system is desirable.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a compassionate, professional, and patient‑focused approach.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities, and effective time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical practice management systems such as Genie, Best Practice, Meditech, or Cerner.
- Committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy, with a strong understanding of healthcare compliance and qualified standards.
