As a Store/Retail Manager , you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across retail operations, overseeing management and retail teams, driving business growth, and ensuring the achievement of sales, financial, and performance targets. Task & responsibilities

- Organising and controlling the daily operations of the retail outlet to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable business performance.
- Determining product mix, stock levels, and service standards in accordance with customer demand, business objectives, and market trends.
- Managing inventory levels by monitoring stock movement, arranging stock replenishment, accepting deliveries, and ensuring adequate product availability.




- Formulating and implementing purchasing and pricing policies to support sales growth, cost control, and business profitability.
- Planning and coordinating the display of goods, promotional materials, and sales strategies to maximise customer interest and increase revenue.
- Monitoring sales performance, customer demand, and financial results to identify business trends and implement improvement strategies.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales, stock, revenue, expenses, banking, and other financial transactions.
- Preparing and reviewing budgets, expenditure, and financial reports to support effective business decision‑making.
- Managing point‑of‑sale operations, cash handling, payment processing, and end‑of‑day reconciliation procedures.
- Ensuring high standards of customer service by responding to customer enquiries, resolving complaints, and improving the overall customer experience.
- Recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating staff to ensure they perform their duties effectively and meet business standards.
- Preparing staff rosters, allocating duties, and monitoring employee performance to maintain productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace policies, safety procedures, consumer laws,



and relevant business requirements.
- Liaising with suppliers, wholesalers, service providers, and business stakeholders regarding stock supply, pricing, deliveries, and operational matters.
- Implementing marketing and promotional activities to attract customers, increase sales, and strengthen the business’s market presence.
- Reviewing operational procedures and introducing improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support long‑term business growth.
- Establishing and monitoring sales targets, staff productivity goals, and service benchmarks to ensure the outlet meets its commercial objectives.
- Reviewing customer feedback, market conditions, and competitor activity to improve product offerings, pricing strategies, and overall retail performance.

Qualification & experience

- Minimum AQF Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant or closely related field.
- Minimum one year of experience in retail management or a similarrole.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills, with the ability to supervise, motivate, and guide team members effectively.
- Excellent communication, time management, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control, sales strategies, customer service management, and improving store performance.
- High level of attention to detail, with a strong commitment to maintaining store standards, operational efficiency, and excellent customer service.
