Panaceum Group is a doctor-owned, multidisciplinary healthcare organisation delivering general practice, urgent care, allied health, occupational health and specialised services. Established more than 70 years ago, it has evolved into one of regional WA’s most significant healthcare providers, operating multiple practices and services across Geraldton, Karratha, Wickham, Northampton and surrounding communities, with complex stakeholder relationships including with mining companies and differing levels of government.

Employing approximately 80 staff and working alongside more than 30 doctors, Panaceum combines robust clinical capability, established services and a clear strategic direction. The organisation is led by three active doctor shareholders who remain closely involved in the business and are committed to ensuring regional communities have access to high-quality healthcare services.

Panaceum’s purpose is grounded in the belief that regional communities should have access to the same standard of healthcare as those living in capital cities, and as it continues to grow and evolve, an opportunity now exists for an experienced General Manager to provide commercial and operational leadership across this complex and highly respected regional healthcare organisation.

The Position:

Reporting to the shareholder-directors and working closely with the Advisory Board, you will be accountable for ensuring strategy is translated into clear priorities, disciplined execution, effective systems and measurable business outcomes. This will include:

- Leadership of a complex multi-site healthcare business.
- Financial performance,



commercial outcomes and business accountability.
- Workforce leadership, manager capability development and doctor attraction and retention.
- Delivery and optimisation of strategic programs, contracts and growth opportunities.
- Operational effectiveness, systems improvement, technology adoption and process discipline.
- Risk management, governance, compliance and Board reporting.
- Stakeholder engagement across doctors, staff, partners, funders and the broader community.

About You:

- Proven success leading a complex healthcare or highly regulated organisation.
- Strong commercial, financial and operational management capability.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into practical implementation and measurable outcomes.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and building high-performing organisational cultures.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the owners and the Board.
- Experience improving systems, processes and organisational performance.
- A proactive, practical and hands‑on leadership style with a high degree of accountability, structure and follow-through.
- Confidence using contemporary technology, systems and data to improve performance and decision making.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management, health administration or related discipline.
