The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Technical Platform Owner – Customer Systems to lead the technical direction, governance and long-term sustainability of our customer platforms, with primary accountability for our Salesforce ecosystem.

This role suits a technically strong Salesforce professional who thrives across architecture, platform governance and business enablement, keeping our systems secure, scalable and aligned with enterprise standards.

You’ll work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, developers and architects, setting the standards and roadmap that keep the platform delivering value

In this role, you will:

- Own the technical health, integrity, performance, security and scalability of customer platforms, with Salesforce as the primary platform, and maintain a technical roadmap aligned to business priorities and enterprise architecture.
- Act as the technical authority for Salesforce, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and CPQ, defining and enforcing architecture standards, design principles and development best practices.
- Govern Salesforce configuration, custom development, integrations, environments, DevOps pipelines and release processes.
- Provide technical oversight of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow automation and platform customisation, and evaluate new Salesforce capabilities for safe, high-value adoption.
- Establish technical standards and guardrails across project and BAU delivery streams, reviewing and approving solution designs for feasibility, security, scalability and architectural alignment.
- Partner with Product Owners,



Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security teams to ensure consistency across integrations, data models and development approaches, while proactively managing technical debt and platform compliance.
- Own release readiness and deployment governance, act as the technical escalation point for major incidents, lead root cause analysis, and make Go/No-Go decisions where platform risk exists.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

You’re a highly experienced Salesforce technical leader with a passion for building sustainable platforms and shaping technology outcomes across large organisations. You’ll bring:

- Extensive experience leading or owning enterprise Salesforce platforms.
- Robust expertise across Salesforce architecture, configuration, integration and environment management.
- Hands‑on capability to read, review and contribute to Apex, Lightning Web Components and Salesforce automation solutions.
- Experience managing platform reliability, scalability, technical debt and operational performance.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, access controls, compliance requirements and data governance practices.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release management and deployment governance within Salesforce environments.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, vendors, delivery teams and senior leaders within large, complex or regulated enterprise environments.
