A steady job you can build on with real career progression. If you’re linked in with a Job Service Provider (Workforce Australia/Centrelink) and you want a genuine opportunity to move into stable employment, this is a strong next step. This role is hands‑on, physical, and genuinely impactful. Every shift you help ensure bins are safely serviced, support proper recycling, reduce landfill, and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment for the community. We’re not looking for people to fill a spot; we’re looking for reliable workers who want to build a future. If you turn up, work safely and bring a good attitude we want to help you grow with us and progress into high responsibilities over time.

What the job is really like (so there are no surprises) You’ll be working in a fast paced outdoor setting, getting in and out of the truck frequently and moving heavy bins safely and efficiently. You’ll be:

- On your feet for most of the shift, this is also running involved
- Navigating kerbs, driveways, and uneven ground while pulling bins to the truck
- Working around strong odours and general waste environments
- Dragging and pulling bins from kerbside for collection and returning them (up to 20kgs)
- Operating the hydraulic bin lift
- Getting in and out of the truck repetitively
- Working in all weather conditions with appropriate uniform and PPE supplied

If you like staying busy, working in a team, and finishing a shift knowing you earned your pay, you’ll fit right in.

What we’re looking for

- Turn up on time, every time, and take pride in doing the job right
- Follow safety rules and look out for their teammates
- Can handle physically active work, and keep focus

Requirements (non-negotiables)

- Pass a Drug & Alcohol test and standard medical/physical
- A car and license to commute to Hillsdale daily
- Physically capable of getting in and out of a truck repeatedly throughout the shift
