A leading global engineering and advisory consultancy is expanding its Australian onshore wind capability. As part of this growth, the business is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Lead to provide senior technical leadership across a portfolio of major wind energy projects.
The successful candidate must have Australian wind energy experience and a strong understanding of the civil design and construction requirements associated with Australian wind farms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering design and technical delivery across Australian onshore wind projects.
- Oversee access roads, turbine hardstands, drainage, earthworks, foundations and associated balance-of-plant infrastructure.
- Provide civil engineering input across feasibility, development, detailed design and construction phases.
- Lead constructability reviews, design optimisation and value engineering activities.
- Coordinate civil interfaces with structural, geotechnical, electrical, transport and environmental teams.
Skills and Experience
- Australian wind energy experience is essential.
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil engineering packages for Australian wind farm projects.
- Robust knowledge of wind farm balance-of-plant design and construction requirements.
- Experience across access roads, drainage, earthworks, turbine hardstands and foundation interfaces.
- Strong understanding of Australian engineering standards and construction practices.
- Previous experience within an engineering consultancy, technical advisory or owner’s engineering environment is highly desirable.
