Montgomery Advisory is partnering with a leading specialist construction and engineering law firm to recruit a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its growing Sydney team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced construction lawyer to join a highly regarded specialist practice advising developers, contractors, consultants and other key industry participants across the full lifecycle of major construction and infrastructure projects.

The role offers significant autonomy, direct client engagement and genuine opportunities for career progression within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

The Role

Working within a highly respected specialist construction team, you will advise on a broad range of front-end and back-end construction matters, including:

- Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts
- Project delivery and strategic commercial advice
- Security of Payment claims and adjudications




- Construction and engineering disputes
- Alternative dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration
- Advising developers, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

About You

You will have:

- 6+ years' post-admission experience in construction and engineering law
- Robust experience across front-end construction, back-end construction, or both
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Strong commercial judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to manage matters autonomously while mentoring junior lawyers
- A genuine interest in building long-term client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of a specialist practice
