Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experienced and driven Processing Superintendent to join our Paddington Processing Team.

Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, this senior leadership role is responsible for safely and effectively leading our plant production shifts, Gold Room team, ROM operations and haulage activities. You will work closely with our Metallurgy and Maintenance teams to optimise plant performance, strengthen collaboration and achieve production, safety and cost targets.

What you’ll be doing:

- Lead, mentor and support the Plant Operations team while promoting strong communication across Processing, Gold Room, Maintenance, Metallurgy, ROM and Haulage.
- Ensure the processing plant operates safely and efficiently to achieve gold recovery, throughput and utilisation targets.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve plant performance, efficiency and production outcomes.
- Optimise plant circuits through analysis, test work and evaluation of operating parameters.
- Support operational planning, including budgets, forecasts and processing plans, while monitoring costs.




- Maintain ROM stocks and coordinate with haulage to meet mill blend requirements.
- Lead safety initiatives, fulfil statutory supervisor duties and ensure clear reporting and performance management across the team.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Relevant statutory supervisor qualifications , which must be maintained throughout employment.
- Frontline management or supervisory training.
- Safety management systems and processes training, including ICAM accreditation or training.
- A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience within a CIL/CIP gold processing plant.
- Demonstrated experience leading plant operations and processing teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of gold processing circuits, equipment, operating parameters and supporting technologies.
- Strong experience in improving production performance, plant utilisation, recovery and cost outcomes.
- A sound understanding of processing plant equipment design parameters, with exposure to plant commissioning desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Western Australian mining safety legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with operational, technical, maintenance and management stakeholders.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise production reports.
- Above-average competency across spreadsheet, presentation, word-processing and database applications.
- Experience using SAP and HSE-related systems such as STEMS and ChemAlert will be highly regarded.
