AppBuilder is where we're building the next generation of TechnologyOne's platform tooling - AppBuilder Studio. We're bringing together a suite of capabilities that let our customers automate business processes, build forms and workflows, manage checklists and records, and handle correspondence, all under one umbrella, and extending it with new capabilities like integrations.

We are looking for an Architect to help shape the technical direction of AppBuilder Studio - across front-end, back-end and integrations - working alongside our existing architects and developers to strengthen and evolve the platform. This is a high-impact role that blends hands‑on engineering with architectural guidance - you'll contribute to standards and design patterns and also get into the detail of building and improving the systems that underpin how our customers build and extend their own business applications.

You'll sit within the AppBuilder team, working closely with Product, UX and other engineering teams across TechnologyOne to advance our app-building capability and grow adoption of Studio and its integrations.





What you'll be doing...

- Help shape the architectural direction and roadmap of AppBuilder Studio, bringing our process automation, forms, workflow and integration capabilities together into one cohesive, extensible product.
- Design and build across the full stack - from front-end UI/UX through to the backend services, APIs and data models that power Studio's workflow, automation and records capabilities.
- Define patterns and standards for building new AppBuilder functionality, ensuring consistency, security, performance and backwards compatibility as we evolve existing capability into modern, cloud-native experiences.
- Partner with Product Owners and R&D; leadership to translate business goals and customer needs into a realistic, sequenced delivery plan.
- Provide architectural guidance and hands‑on support to developers and other architects - reviewing designs and code and mentoring the team to lift overall engineering capability.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex customer issues, including third‑party integrations and networking/HTTP‑related problems.
- Champion valuable engineering practice - code quality, test coverage, and effective use of tooling (including AI‑assisted development) - across the team.
- Engage with the broader TechnologyOne platform and technology stack to ensure AppBuilder's architecture stays aligned with the wider enterprise landscape.

Your Talents...

- 10+ years' experience in software engineering, including demonstrated experience operating at an architect level.
- Genuine strength across both front-end and back-end development - comfortable owning a feature from UI/UX through to backend services and data design.




- Strong experience in enterprise software architecture - balancing new capability with backwards compatibility, security and performance in production systems used by real businesses.
- Proven ability to define technical direction and standards while remaining hands‑on with implementation.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a team, including without direct authority.
- A pragmatic engineering mindset - able to balance architectural ideals with delivery realities and customer impact.
- Experience working in enterprise software or SaaS environments.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for using modern AI‑assisted development tools to lift team productivity.
- Experience with low‑code/no‑code or configuration-driven platforms is highly regarded.
