We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher with a VIT Full Registration to join our team and lead our three-year-old kindergarten program.
Village Early Education offer one full day per week planning for early childhood teachers, along with 6 weeks annual leave. This role has the capacity for above ward wage and conditions, dependent on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Create and deliver engaging programs and experiences tailored to the developmental needs and interests of three-year-old children in line with the VEYLDF.
- Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Programming and Planning: Documenting children’s learning and development in line with the VEYLDF.
- Family Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with families through effective communication.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and centre management to ensure a harmonious, collaborative work environment and contribute to the overall success of the centre.
- Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy setting in compliance with relevant regulations,
National Quality Framework and Village Early Education’s policies.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Victorian Institute of Teaching: Full Registration ideal, provisional considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching young children, preferably in a kindergarten or early childhood setting.
- Skills: Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in early childhood. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Attributes: Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for fostering young children’s growth and development.
