Chef Wanted! Join Our Client's Dynamic Kitchen Team

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join their busy kitchen team in the heart of Mandurah. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established, family-owned café and bar renowned for its Modern Australian Fusion cuisine, exceptional service and supportive team culture.

Located on the beautiful Mandurah Foreshore, our client is a well-established family-owned café and bar renowned for its Modern Australian Fusion cuisine, artisan coffee, local wines, craft beers and exceptional customer experiences. Operating from breakfast through to dinner, they are committed to producing fresh, high-quality food while maintaining a supportive and professional workplace.

Working closely with the Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager and General Manager and management team, you will play an integral role in preparing exceptional meals, maintaining high kitchen standards, and contributing to the continued success of their busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards and food safety requirements.

Assist with planning and developing seasonal menus and daily or weekly specials in collaboration with the Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager and General Manager.

Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation throughout all service periods.

Work across all kitchen sections, including grill, pan, fryer, larder and food preparation.

Assist in coordinating daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.





Supervise and provide guidance to cooks and kitchen assistants where required.

Monitor food quality and ensure ingredients are stored, handled and rotated correctly.

Assist with stock ordering, stock control and inventory management while minimising food wastage.

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety in accordance with relevant legislation.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). A Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent) will be highly regarded.

Have a minimum of 2–3 years' experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, flavour profiles and food presentation.

Possess sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles and workplace health and safety requirements.

Be able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen workplace.

Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.

Be reliable, motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Be passionate about producing high-quality food and delivering outstanding customer service.

- Salary of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum (depending on experience, ability and tasks undertaken) plus Superannuation.
- Work-life balance with a mixture of day and night shifts, generally working approximately 8-hour shifts.
