The Origin Story Every awesome career starts with an awesome employer. And if you've been in Allied Health long enough, you know they don't grow on trees. It usually takes a founder who has actually walked in your shoes to build a workplace that gets it right.
A few years ago, our client was working as an Occupational Therapist in a private hospital setting. While he gained valuable clinical experience, the turning point in his career came during client home assessments. He realized his true passion lay in community care, where he could build genuine, long-term relationships and help clients achieve meaningful goals in their own environment.
Around the same time, he saw his own family member navigate home care while receiving treatment from five different allied health professionals across five separate companies, all working towards different goals and giving conflicting advice. He knew there was a better way to deliver unified, holistic community care.
He started the practice three years ago with a clear purpose: build a clinician-led service that works together to help people stay safe, independent, and thriving at home for as long as possible. Today, the practice has grown into a close-knit team of 15 clinicians and support staff.
Because the business is owned and operated by a practising clinician who still sees clients every week, the team is managed from a therapist's perspective. Every decision, from schedule pacing to administrative support, is built around giving therapists the backing they need to deliver great care without burning out.
The Day to Day
- Manageable Workload: Full-time therapists see 5 to 6 clients per day.
- Localized Travel: Client visits are mapped strictly within a manageable radius of your home base.
- Zero Admin Burden: A dedicated administrative team handles all initial assessment bookings, follow-up scheduling, and client invoicing. Your time is spent mostly on clinical care.
- Adaptable Working: Write your reports from home, or use the practice’s central co-working hub whenever you want to work alongside colleagues.
The Support
- 4-Week Structured Induction: You will not be thrown into the deep end. Your first month includes observing OTs, Physios, Admin, and Finance to give you a complete picture of how the business runs.
- Gradual Schedule Build-Up:
Client loads are built slowly over several months to ensure you settle in comfortably.
- Monthly Team Days: Once a month, the practice pulls the entire team off clinical work for a fully paid non-clinical day focused on professional development, team building, and a catered group lunch with coffee and croissants.
The Requirements
- Full AHPRA Registration
- Physiotherapy Degree
- Full working rights in Australia
- Valid Drivers license
