Work Pac are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join a busy marine workshop based in Darwin. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused individual who enjoys variety and working in a hands‑on workplace.

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established provider of ship repair, maintenance and marine engineering services, supporting commercial and defence marine industries. They pride themselves on delivering quality workmanship while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

What You Will Be Doing

- Receiving, dispatching and packing materials and supplies
- Operating a forklift to move marine components and equipment
- Assisting mechanical trades, blasters and painters
- Loading, unloading and relocating boat, barge and ship parts
- General yard and workshop housekeeping duties
- Using hand and power tools including drills and grinders
- Assisting with general maintenance and workshop support tasks
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

What You Will Need

- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- White Card
- Previous warehouse, yard or stores experience
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools
- Physically fit and able to work both indoors and outdoors




- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to commit to a long-term position
