We are a well-established manufacturing company based on the Gold Coast with a strong reputation for quality, precision, and innovation. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Draft Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and development of our products.
The Role
As our Draft Engineer, you'll play a key role in translating engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings and specifications that guide our manufacturing processes. You'll work closely with engineers, production staff, and clients to ensure designs are precise, practical, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models using CAD software
- Interpret engineering specifications and translate them into accurate manufacturing drawings
- Collaborate with design engineers and production teams to refine and finalise designs
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and company specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation and drawing revision control
- Assist with troubleshooting design issues during the manufacturing process
- Liaise with suppliers and clients on technical specifications as required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the drafting and design process
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Draft Engineer, Draftsperson, or similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset
