About the opportunity

Altrad are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead and coordinate workshop operations in Roma, QLD. Reporting to the Operations team, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and commercially effective delivery of workshop activities, ensuring high-quality service outcomes for customers while providing strong leadership to a team of technicians and service personnel.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of workshop work, manage resources, drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise workshop personnel, providing technical guidance, support and mentorship.
- Coordinate, plan and schedule workshop activities from job creation through to close out.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor workshop performance, utilisation and productivity to meet operational targets.
- Review and submit job reports and documentation within required timeframes.
- Support quotation development and provide technical input where required.
- Liaise with customers,



suppliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements.

About you

You are a trade-qualified leader with a strong background in workshop or field service operations within the Oil & Gas, mining, energy or heavy industrial sectors. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, enjoy leading teams and have a proven ability to balance operational performance with exceptional customer service.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Technician, machinist or relevant mechanical trade.
- Previous experience leading workshop, service or maintenance teams.
- Strong planning, scheduling and resource coordination experience.
- Demonstrated experience within Oil & Gas, mining or a related industry.
- Sound commercial awareness and understanding of workshop operations.
- Strong knowledge of HSEQ systems, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence.
