We are looking for a qualified and experienced Automotive or Vehicle Painters . This role is an excellent chance for a person with trade skills to join a successful, long standing, small engineering business with multiple manufacturing capabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Abrasive blast and prepare metal surfaces for undercoating / priming
2. Tape off, fill in, and sand back in preparation for painting
3. Spray paint in enamel or 2 Pac, water, and oil-based paints and primers
4. Touch up paint jobs on repairs
5. Spray paint spare parts
6. Clean / maintain blast gear, plant, and tooling
7. Clean / maintain paint gear and plant
8. Ensure a high standard of quality
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Experience with prepping and painting different media such as aluminum, fibreglass, steel, and wood
2. Experience in a variety of practices and techniques related to blasting and painting
3. Knowledge of operating general paint / blast shop equipment and tools
4.
Familiarity with executing blast / painting operations in compliance with safety policies
5. Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes would be an advantage
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
