About Us

Caloundra Power Boat Club is a busy coastal venue with a strong reputation for consistency, quality, and productive kitchen operations. We run a high-volume bistro, functions, and events, supported by a stable team and modern equipment including iVario Pro and combi ovens.

The Role

We are seeking a full-time Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This role supports the Head Chef in day-to-day operations, including service execution, prep management, staff supervision, and maintaining our high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

You'll be hands-on, organised, calm under pressure, and confident leading sections during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

- Kitchen leadership during service and prep
- Maintaining food quality and consistency across all menu items
- Training and supporting junior chefs
- Assisting with ordering, stock rotation, and waste control
- Upholding food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
- Contributing to menu development and specials when required




- Ensuring smooth communication across the kitchen and front-of-house

About You

- Qualified Chef with strong experience in high-volume venues
- Confident running a section and leading a team
- Reliable, organised, and solutions-focused
- Able to work a rotating roster including weekends
- Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a professional kitchen culture
