We’relooking for a Metering Technical Specialist to join our Networks & Metering team and help shape the future of metering operations across one of Australia’s leading energy retailers.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Metering Technical Lead,you'llact as a subject matter expert across metering technologies,installationsand regulatory requirements, supporting both operational delivery and business improvement initiatives.

Whatyou'llbe doing

Provide technicalexpertiseacross metering installations,technologiesand related equipment

Support compliance with National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO procedures and industry obligations

Investigate and resolve complex metering incidents,complaintsand technical escalations





Partner with meter providers, distributors,contractorsand key stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes

Support deployment programs, operationalworkflowsand continuous improvement initiatives

Conduct technical assessments,auditsand compliance reviews

Provideexpert advice on current metering technologies, regulatorychangesand business initiatives

Act as a subject matter expert on industry and business transformation projects

What you'll bring

Extensive experience in electricity metering and metering operations

Strong knowledge of the National Electricity Market, AEMO procedures and distributor processes

Electrical trade qualifications such as Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Electrical Supervisor certification

Proven ability to analyse and solve complex technical challenges

Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills

Experienceoperatingwithin regulatory and compliance-driven environments

A continuous improvement mindset and customer-focused approach
